There is a hosted service that makes it easy for developers to get started. Community members, strategic VCs and influential individuals gave money to the Graph. A public GRT Sale with participation from 99 countries was successfully completed by the Graph Foundation. At their last startup, they built a framework on a database. The GRT token is used to allocate resources in the network. Income from the network can be calculated using the amount of work they perform and their GRT stake. Curators earn a portion of query fees for the subgraphs they signal on, while indexers earn rewards for new issuance and query fees.
